The Mobility Resource was started in 2007 by a group of independent mobility van dealers located throughout the United States. These dealers were concerned that people with disabilities were purchasing accessible vehicles online, without having the proper knowledge about what types vehicles conversions were available – and why it mattered to select the right van and ramp configuration for their specific family situation, driving expectations and plans for the future.

These founding dealers, all with brick and mortar showroom locations, believe that a face-to-face consultation and a thorough needs assessment with a certified mobility consultant (CMC) provided the best opportunity for an individual or family to purchase the right wheelchair accessible vehicle that will work best their needs, now and in the future.
